Doodle Meadow

Privacy policy

Last updated October 2026

This policy explains what Doodle Meadow collects, why, and the choices you have. Our audience includes families, but the site is intended for adults and for children under a parent's or teacher's supervision. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we'll delete the account.

What we collect

  • Account data: name, email address and a securely hashed password.
  • Download history: which pages an account downloaded, plus a random visitor ID in a cookie and a one-way hashed IP address, used to apply download limits and prevent abuse.
  • Newsletter: your email address and whether you've confirmed and unsubscribed.
  • Messages: anything you send through the contact form.
  • Payments: handled by Stripe. We store only a customer ID and your subscription end date.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for login sessions, security (CSRF protection) and download limits. Non-subscribers may also see ads from Google AdSense and, if enabled, Google Analytics measurement. Those services set their own cookies. Where required, we show a consent choice before loading them.

How we use data

To run your account, deliver downloads, send emails you asked for, prevent abuse, keep the site secure, and understand which pages are useful. We don't sell personal data.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us run the site (hosting, email delivery, payments, analytics, advertising) and when the law requires it.

Retention and your rights

We keep account data while your account exists. You can delete your account from the account page, which removes your profile and newsletter subscription. Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your data, or object to processing. Contact us and we'll respond within 30 days.

Security

Passwords are hashed, connections use HTTPS, and access to the admin area is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique password.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above.
